Sometimes plain and simple is just the best type of meal. For once, a December dinner was not turkey based. Just a plain and simple sausage, mash and beans.
I have a love hate relationship with mashed potato. It has to be totally smooth with absolutely no lumps in it at all. It’s not uncommon for me to use a potato ricer, potato masher, wooden spoon and still pass the potato through a sieve!
Tonight we were lucky, it was just the masher and wooden spoon for a delicious creamy mash.
