A quick update on the rice pudding saga of yesterday. Having spent the rest of the evening willing my rice to swell and absorb the sweet milk, I have to admit failure. Sadly, the marriage of rice and milk failed to materialise.

I hate throwing food away, especially as this morning on the radio I heard a report about how it is believed up to a quarter of all food purchased is disposed of, uneaten.. . . . .
