I know I don’t need to say this, especially to the UK readers, but you can tell it’s now the 6th November as all the Christmas Adverts have started in earnest!  I have to say, so far my favourite is the Marks & Spencers Advert, and no, sadly this is not a paid for post! (But M&S if you are reading this, I am open to offers 🙂 )

As regular readers of the blog will know, the cake has been made, and been fed, the marzipan and mincemeat are done, and I am holding with tradition and waiting for stir up Sunday before making the Christmas Pudding.

I have a little bit of an obsession with Limoncello at the moment.  I found a bottle of it in the freezer recently and have been using it in recipes that call for alcohol to be added.  As the bottle is running low, and we have a spare bottle of Vodka in the Pantry, (I know a spare bottle of Vodka, how decadent!) I have decided to make my own.  I can’t imagine it will be too dissimilar to sloe gin in the making, and I have a feeling it’s is going to be cheaper than buying another bottle from the supermarket!

I got the instructions from the BBC Good Food site, who do suggest that it would make a great gift to give at Christmas.  Rather than give as a gift, we are going to share it over the festive season with home made mince pies and other delicious homemade Christmas treats that will be emerging from the Muddy Kitchen Floor kitchen!
